Gotta Love Tee Ball With a 4 Year Old Girly Girl

We finally got a call about having tball practice. O is not the youngest kid on the team, but you wouldn't know it. She is definitely the smallest. It has rained so much that the field we practiced on was NASTY. The coach showed up to practice 30 minutes late. It was almost dark by the time she finally started doing something. Thank goodness one of the dads finally called all of the girls out and started throwing ground balls to them. Probably not how you practice with 4 year olds, but all he had was a few balls. When the coach finally showed up she had a tee, so all of the girls got to hit a few times.

This is my sweet child.

No, that is not O trying to catch a fly ball.

Yes. That is her breaking it down out in the field. I think there is always music in her head.

She did actually go after the ball when the other girls hit it. I was kind of surprised. She also hit the ball really well considering the tee was 6 or 8 inches too high for her.

Seriously, thank goodness for the dad who stepped in to help. Even after the coach showed up she talked on her phone the entire time she was there planning her weekend. This is one of the kids' grandmothers. And she didn't have a schedule. And games start in 11 days. I'm sure this tball season is going to be utter chaos.
It'll be a miracle if my child plays all 8 games.
